Here’s our master bedroom when we moved into our home. It felt so darkish and small… Will it even suit our king size bed? I wager we will find out!
One of the primary matters we did while moving in was painting this bed room. This "sea salt" colour paint made the room feel two times as large!
Clearly our king bed DID suit and our cat, Jasmine, is taking part in the room as properly!
After a few months, I decided that this room could use a feature wall. The sloped ceilings made it a touch tough to determine what might appearance suitable. Maybe a stencil or wallpaper? Or maybe a moudling design!
I decided to go along with a diamond moulding layout. I knew that I may want to acquire this easily through the usage of some 8′ framing lumber. First, I lightly drew the pattern at the wall and measured what number of pieces of wood I would need. Then, I headed to Home Depot and purchased 8 of these 1"x2"x8′ forums.
Since this is a small room, I went with a white for the characteristic wall. I suppose that a dark accessory color would appearance first rate for a larger room, however knew that going darker in our bed room might make it appearance smaller again.
This is the paint I used from Home Hardware’s Beauti-Tone line. I began via portray the wall with one coat. (I used much less than 1/4 gallon)
Next, the forums had been painted with one coat of the white paint before setting them up.
I used the awkward sloped ceilings to my advantage by using using their perspective for the diamond sample! Each board is nailed to the wall with 2" completing nails.
After all the forums had been up, I did a second coat of paint at the timber pieces to cover up the nails.
Voila! Our master suite feels so at ease and spacious with this clean coat of white paint and new function wall!
