Felt is one in every of my favourite mediums for innovative wreath-making. This DIY Christmas Wreath features white felt, plus glittered DIY holly berries for a a laugh and modern tackle conventional holiday wreaths.
Here’s what you need:
Step 1: Create your felt leaves. To try this, take your felt sheets (mine had been 9×12, and I used approximately 7 of them) and cut them lengthwise into 5 equal strips. Take the ones strips, and reduce them into rectangles (you’ll get approximately 5 rectangles in keeping with felt strip). Take each rectangle and reduce right into a leaf form.
Glue 3-4 felt leaves in a row along your wreath shape. You don’t want to move all of the manner around your form, simply make sure none of the wreath form will display whilst you hold your wreath.
Step 2: Glue on some other row of felt leaves, ensuring to overlap your first row. Continue working around your wreath shape, gluing and overlapping your leaves. While this looks as if a long process, it probable only took half of an hour or so as to cover the complete wreath form.
Step 3: For my holly berries, I simply used glittered foam balls that I determined in the holiday section of Hobby Lobby. Can’t discover them? No worries. You can both take everyday foam balls and enhance them with glitter and Mod Podge, or you could simply cut out circles out of red glitter cardstock for a flat (however still superb) appearance.
Next, cut out holly leaves from your glitter cardstock. Glue your leaves, in addition to your berries, onto your wreath form.
Impressive, right? I love the look of this wreath with a simple crimson and white striped ribbon for placing.
