Have you observed vertical porch signs are all of the rage?
Well, I desired in this Christmas!
Gathering up reclaimed wood fence planks and a couple of stencils, this got here collectively clearly quick!
But I preferred to add an extra sprint of comfy allure to an otherwise flat Christmas sign…
Here’s what I ended up doing…
I am a collector of all things reclaimed wooden, so fence planks are a preferred in my save.
I chose two, and gave them a light sand.
Next, I lined the planks in white paint.
Then I brought out some accessible stencils that could in the end get this task done smooth!

The letters have been stenciled in black and popped!
I also share a special tip on distressing without problems… Make certain to go to my blog put up link under to analyze extra!
But I failed to stencil the O in Joy because I had other plans…
Instead, the Christmas Ball stencil became positioned to hold from the J, then stenciled in pink.
GAMBAR3 Before I removed the ornament stencil, the Buffalo Check stencil became located on top, then stenciled in black.
Then I placed the ribbon and stenciled it in pink to hold the ornament.
BAM! Isn’t that the cutest coziest ornament EVER?!
But I wasn’t quite completed there yet either…
Evergreen branches and a bow had been attached to the ornament to present it a real 3D effect.
And right here is the end result! Quirky, rustic, and porch-geared up-pretty!
So, do you opt for this Christmas Joy sign with the branches and bow great? Or…
… With simply the bow?
You can see it without each in my weblog post too!
But what I love most about this sign is the reality that it could be customized to some thing colors you’re decorating with this season! Or perhaps you want to fit yours to the outdoors colours of your private home? The alternatives are endless!
Using versatile stencils make signal-making easy. I even have a fair simpler JOY signal inside my weblog post link under!
